1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using ProvenanceOS, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.
2. Description of Service
ProvenanceOS is a software provenance intelligence platform. Authenticated scan intake and dependency lineage mapping (npm, PyPI) with OSV.dev vulnerability matching are available today. Capabilities such as AI-origin scoring, policy enforcement (block and require-review actions), and compliance reporting are planned for future phases. We describe shipped capabilities on the changelog and our public security disclosures.
3. Account Registration
To access certain features, you must register for an account. You agree to provide accurate information and keep your account credentials secure. You may close your account at any time; on closure we delete your account record and the personal data described in the Privacy Policy, subject to limited exceptions (for example, transaction records we are required to retain for tax and accounting purposes).
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the service for any illegal purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the service
- Interfere with or disrupt the service or servers
- Upload malicious code or content
5. Intellectual Property
ProvenanceOS, its name, and its content, features, and functionality are owned by ProvenanceOS and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of any source code, repository metadata, and other materials you submit to the service.
6. Limitation of Liability
In no event shall ProvenanceOS be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service.
7. Billing and Subscriptions
Paid plans are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis at the prices published on the pricing page. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled. If we change a plan's price, we will give you at least 30 days' notice and the new price applies from your next renewal. Fees are exclusive of taxes, which we charge where required by law. ProvenanceOS is currently in early access and self-serve paid signup is not open; paid engagements entered during early access are governed by the written agreement signed with you.
8. Cancellation
You may cancel a subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you retain access to the paid features through the period you have already paid for. For the Control plan, cancellation terms are set by your enterprise agreement. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with notice where practicable.
9. Refunds
Fees are non-refundable for partial billing periods, except: (a) where required by applicable law; (b) service credits earned under the Service Level Agreement; (c) the pro-rata refund for chronic underperformance described in the SLA; or (d) refund terms expressly stated in a signed written agreement. Because self-serve checkout is not open during early access, no recurring charges are collected from the public site today.
10. Service Levels
The Service Level Agreement (availability commitment, service credits, and support response targets) applies to the Control plan. The Launch and Growth plans are provided on commercially reasonable efforts without a contractual SLA. During early access, the service is provided as-is.
11. Changes to the Service or These Terms
We continue to develop ProvenanceOS and may add, change, or retire features. Material changes to these Terms will be posted on this page with an updated date; your continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
